This resolution is supported by the chip set so I am not sure why i don't see it as an option. Does anyone know how to get this to work? I have searched the forums but don't see a clear answer.

Which input type did you use on the monitor? if you want to go beyond Full HD (1920x1080) you might want to use displayport or DVI input insted of HDMI.

Personally i use the SP4 on an Dell 3008WFP with 2560*1600 resolution without problem using an minidisplayport to displayport cable

SP4 definitely works with 4k monitor, actually I made it work with 2 external 4k monitors (plus SP4 display). You should definitely check your cables. The type that is going to give you 4k @60Hz is the proper displayport 1.2 cable.

The big disappointment here is that I couldn't get 2 monitors working through the docking station, one had to be connected directy with SP4.
