Spectacular, but I’m sure we all understand what’s shown in the video are concepts and theoretical demos, some more realistic than others and some closer to actualization than others.

hmmm why do you ruin it for the rest of us? but that vid does look spectacular... if the SP3 or 4 can do all those things in the vid, it would blow apple right out of the water... like nuclear blow it out! LOL

It's more of a proof-of-concept video, often done to instill investor confidence in both existing or potential backers, as well as corporate shareholders. It's common for videos of this nature to be released near quarterly earning reports.

Yep and cinematology and specialFX have evolved far enough for us to no longer being able to discern what is real functionality and what is "staged" :)

Even if this is just concept (and some of it is actually real, I believe; Adobe has definitely optimized some of their Creative Cloud apps for touch and the Surface), it shows how Microsoft is working with its partners on a pretty exciting vision. Apple is doing nothing even remotely like this stuff.
