Any way to avoid Automatic Updates?

Hiding the firmware update will do. If you really don't want to upgrade your system. If not, then like I said, be sure your device is fully charged, plugged in, keyboard attached and in typing position, and don't interfer with the process, just let your system do it's thing (multiple reboots will occur, fan may kick-in at full speed at some point, all normal.)

Alright guys, I set it to automatic updates, hid the firmware one, and updated everything else and...so far it looks like everything is running great! (If not better than before!) As of now the firmware update is kept hidden, will that stay hidden until I "restore hidden updates"? Or will that kick in if windows automatically updates?

Also thanks again for all your help everyone, I really appreciate it!

It will not block other updates. Just keep in mind that you'll need to apply it before applying future firmware.
When ever you want to install it, just restore it, and it will be ready to be installed.
