dumb question from a newbie to the device...

Does the system stop charging the battery when its at 100% and plugged in?

Yes. It does. If it didn't, it will burst into flame with Lithium ion or poly batteries.
It will also not charge if you plug your system and it's at 99 and 98% the battery.

Where do you know this from? I've never read anything official... actually I'd like to know exactly when the charging does kick in.
