Best Printer for Surface Book

Looking for recommendations for a new desktop printer for my Surface Book. I mostly print back and white draft quality but would like "cost effective" color if it exist . Anybody have a recommendation for a compatible wireless printer? My 10 year old Samsung is wearing out​

Best depends too much on what your needs are.
I just threw away a high dollar HP photo ink printer and will be avoiding HP. They discontinued making the high dollar ink cartridge it required. I used to use HP all the time, no more.
I bought an Epson large format photo printer, mainly because it uses cheaper ink tanks. I also got a cheap Cannon that I carry with me in the RV.
Both work well wirelessly with my Surface Book, Surface 3, and Android phone.
About anything will work. Avoid the ink cartridge ripoff.

Thank you for your answer. I understand it’s all about the ink rip off. I’m looking for Microsoft recommended printer. I’ve got one that I work with just about anything and I don’t want another one. I wish Microsoft need a printer
