Clock behind by exactly half an hour. Should I be worried?

So this evening, I looked at my laptop clock, thought it was a bit off, checked the time on google, and it turned out to be half an hour behind

Easily fixed, but this has never happened to me before, ever, since I have been using windows machines, so I tried looking up what may have caused it

And so far, the only solution I have is that my "CMOS" battery is dying and is a common problem found in older computers. Which is odd, because I got my surface this year

I just need reassurance that my very expensive machine isn't about to fall apart on me so soon!

It happens occasionally when the machine is unable to reach a NTP server for some time.....

You did some time travel.

Set your clock about 2 years into the future and see if Windows still crashes. Also check battery life.

Dumb question, but did you check your time zone settings? There are some international time zones that are offset by half an hour.
