If you have W10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education you can Run gpedit.msc

Navigate to: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\OS Policies

Disable the "Enables Activity Feed" entry. This will disable Timeline.
You might want to disable the other two as well...

Allow publishing of User Activities
Allow upload of User Activities

Or in Regedit if you have Home or any edition.
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System

Create or modify Dword values and set to 0:

EnableActivityFeed

PublishUserActivities

UploadUserActivities

Good Post! - I know there are Anti-Windows Spying programs out there that will do this for you, but with most of them I discovered, they end / stop to many things with no option to not allow them to be stopped. Such as - Windows Hello, access to certain features that I like. One good site to check out which is very informative regarding Windows Services. I have learned a lot from this site and stopped many useless, invasive Windows Services - Check it out - Home | Black Viper | www.blackviper.com
