I need to retun the device that I used. How do I make sure no one can restore my data?

Swipe from right, Settings, Change PC Settings, Recovery, Remove everything and reinstall Windows.
    Follow the prompts.
There's an option to do a secure erase if you want... IDK how long that takes.
    Make sure is plugged in.

Does this retain all updates and firmware upgrades or we have to redownload and install all?
