Hey everyone, I was wondering if I left my windows surface pro 3 charging over night, would that damage the battery life? For example, charging from X% to 100% which should take around 2-4 hours but a night's sleep is around 7-8 hours. That extra 3-6 hours, could that potentially be damaging the battery's life?

And if so, what kind of "charging habits" have you guys learned to help preserve battery life? Another example would be the whole use tablet till it reaches 40% then charge back up to 80%.

    Thanks for your help!

    Welcome to the forum

No, it won't hurt your battery. Do a search in the search bar upper right for the words battery life and you will find dozens of threads on various methods to preserve battery,. Since there are dozens of them already I'm going to close this thread.
