Intermittent Touch-Screen Keyboard

I have a SP3 running W10. I almost always use the touch-screen keyboard however for a while now the keyboard pops up when I don't expect it to and then when I do expect it to it doesn't always automatically appear - I have to manually turn-it on. This has become a bit worse and frustrating since the last W10 update.

Any ideas on how to fix this please.
