    Hi,

I'm getting very poor images from front facing camera, although rear facing is fine. Basically seeing lots of nasty horizontal streaks, sample attached.

Had little luck trying to imp pic quality thru settings, is the camera faulty?

If you are trying to post a picture here on a Windows 8 device, you should use the Desktop Browser and put it in compatibility mode with the Torn Page icon in the address bar out at the end.

It could be the camera and it could be a few other options. Have you rebooted recently? I know there we some apps updates that happened recently and if you're like me, you put your device to sleep more often than turn it off. Try a fresh reboot first and then check the store for an update to the camera app. Also try using a different app like Skype to access that camera and see if there is an improvement there.
