Microsoft (MSFT) has sold 40 million licenses of its Windows 8 operating system after only one month of availability. This is what I expect to be the trend for Windows 8. It is not Vista part 2 and should have great market success as more people use Windows Phones, Windows tablets and either upgrade Windows or buy new machines with Windows 8 installed. PC sales are generally slower than in the past but Windows 8 should have similar success to Windows 7 in terms of deployment. Like any new version of Windows it just needs some exposure before it really gets rolling and three platforms offers plenty of exposure.
