Mirror display to Amazon FireTV stick

It isn't working for some reason. I go to FireTV -> Mirroring, FireTV says "while this screen is open guest devices can wirelessly mirror their display".

On Surface, I've tried both Connect and Display -> Wirelessly Connect, in both cases the "searching for wireless display" window comes up but never finds FireTV stick.

I know the FireTV stick mirroring works, because my Samsung Galaxy Edge connects just fine.

Any help appreciated.

I would have answered that it works on mine, but I just tried it and it didn't work. Connect from the Notification bar didn't see it, In Settings/Devices it was listed (because it worked before) so I removed it to re-install and it wont re-install.
I wonder did a Windows Update screw with it?
