My advice for all those having issues

I added a software drive activity light that has been a big help. After one thing has updated, especially when it asks for a restart, wait 15-20 seconds before you restrt. After the restart it may take several minutes before that update finishes even if you don't notice any activity. I don't do anything else until I see the disk activity has calmed down. You can do the same thing in task manager and see all the activity.

Can you explain the "software drive activity light"? I would assume your referring to software that indicates hardware usage etc. Seems redundant if that's the case - I won't assume it is. Thanks in advance.

It's actually a big help. I have installed it on a lot of Widows systems so I can get a quick indication of the system activity. I work on a lot of systems remotely and it's easier to see when things are finished rather than bringing up the task manager. But, but... I don't have an HDD I have an SSD
