My Favorite SP3 Feature I did not expect

Writing recognition was one thing I didn't think I'd use very much, however I find it excellent when I'm using the surface in portrait/tablet mode and don't want the hassle of trying to type with one hand, using the pen and writing is so much quicker, and it's pretty accurate too... probably more accurate than my one handed typing on the keyboard where autocorrect catches me out all the time.

Also double click pen (now it's working) to screenshot into one note is quite useful.

You need the full version (paid) of OneNote to be able to use this feature.

Isn't OneNote--even the desktop version--now completely free?

Or is there still a paid version that has extra features?

Edit: Oh, just saw this:

While Microsoft will continue to offer a paid version of OneNote that supports business users and provides premium features like SharePoint support, version history, Outlook integration and the like, the firm is now making the product available for free for personal and school use. The free version is ad-free and is not a trial version; it's the real thing

But I would imagine your record audio feature probably is in the free desktop version, since it sounds like it is mostly enterprise type features that are reserve for the paid version.
