On Screen Keyboard Surface or Windows 10 issue

I went to look at the SP4 tonight at BB and clearly MS has addressed most of the issues I had experienced. However I did have one issue or question if it's a configuration issue. When the Keyboard is not attached it appears I must manually open the keyboard and close it when on input areas such as a web address in the browser. Any thoughts or ideas?

When in desktop mode:

--Using Edge the on screen KB must be manually opened and closed.
--Using Chrome the on screen KB automatically opens when you tap on anything requiring input.

In tablet mode the KB should open using Edge automatically as it's needed.

Sweet and thanks! I did not know that and the KB not automatically opening when I tap an input box is one of the reasons I have been using Chrome when in desktop mode w/o the type cover connected..

I can ditch Chrome now and just use Edge 24/7
