    Hi can anyone help I'm trying to download the Mathematics add on tab for one note but I keep getting this message and I don not understand what it means.

    This add-on is created 3rd party, not by Microsoft, but uses a kind of programming language / interface called .NET Framework, which certainly is by Microsoft. Kind of the equivalent of JavaScript.

    So to install .NET on your PC, go here:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

    Then after a restart, you can use the add-in.

    Thanks I tried that and it works, however it keeps crashing my one note, not too keen on that so had to uninstall it to get it working again, not sure why
