Outlook address books

I'm using Outlook 2013 on my Surface Pro 3.

If I add a new contact to the People app, how can I get that to automatically show up in my outlook address book? (or vice versa?)

And then how do I get the new name to show up in the typeahead feature in the To: list? Seems that most of my contacts do this automatically, but even if I manually add the new person to the outlook contacts view, it still doesn't seem to show up in typeahead.

Welcome to this forum, @mkraley

When you add a new contact to the People app, you will be given an option to add the contact to your Microsoft account, Outlook, or an Exchange account (even if that Exchange account is accessed via Outlook). Subsequent new entries will default to the account you choose, but a drop-down list right at the top of the details entry page for the new contact can be modified as you wish.

I just gave it a try under Windows 10 (Build 10162). Works perfectly.
If you are not already on Windows 10, you can be after July 29, 2015.

This ability is part of Windows 10. You will have to wait about three weeks to get the new functionality.
