Pen Freezing

Is there a way to turn off the Surface Pen? I worry that the surface pen is on all the time and sucking power when I am not using it. I hope that there is a way to turn off the pen when I am not using the pen and if I want to use the pen I can turn it back on.

I suffer this phenomenon as well.
Occasionally the pen's bottom stops working.
It has nothing to do with the pen's top part (as well as bluetooth pairing).
Disassembling the battries doesn't help.
Nothing helps except waiting for it to blow over, or maybe by restaring.

Annoying as F*ck!

It doesn't feel like its a pen-hardware issue.
I tested it on two sp3 and when it happened on one computer i switched pens and realized that the sp3 was the problem, not the pens.
either hw or sw.

It is annoying. I found that this happens very often for me. I don't have a clue why. I have the SPro3 i3 64 GB. My workaround is to double click the purple button. That puts you into some clip mode. Hit escape and your out of it and my pen works.

It's quick and seems to work for me.

Happens to me too. Seems like resetting is the only thing that makes it work again. Sometimes I have to do that a couple times.
