Before, my Surface Pro 3 had a sensible power button behavior that enabled putting on standby with a short press and a shut down option after pressing it for longer.

After I charged it recently, it was unresponsive for a few times clicking the power button before I finally turned it on. Now, when I turn it on, holding it down for any length of time results with the shut down option, although it's not instant and now DELAYED by 3 seconds. Pressing the button after this only returns to what I was doing...

Is this supposed to happen? A new feature? Was there a recent update that changed the power button behavior? It is very annoying.
