Replacing SP3, how to Backup and Restore?

Has anyone successfully backed up their SP3 to restore it to a replacement SP3? My SP3 slipped off my table and in the fall, damaged a corner. The metal casing has a slight dent and a chip on the glass. I want to use the extended service plan to get a new SP3, but It took quite a while to get mine just right, with applications and tweaks.

Would a "System Image Backup" work between two SP3s as described here:

Thanks!

That would probably work, however, you do have a couple other options. I would install Macrium Reflect (free) and do an image using that software. Create a restore thumb drive image to boot from when you get the replacement and it will put everything back exactly as it was.

It's more flexible than the native Windows image.
