Idn what it is but my 7 year old laptop can view pdf's better than my surface pro 3. Whether its view them offline and online through the web browser, it is very laggy. Of course its adobe reader. Is there any solutions to make pdf be smooth as it is on my 7 year old laptop.

Not a big fan of the Adobe Reader and haven't been for quite some time. I use Foxit, it's less bloated, fast, free and does almost everything Adobe does and some things it doesn't.

I use the default reader or Drawboard PDF no issues with performance....

Who doesn't? Foxit has done that for the few years I've been using it, on both IE and Chrome.

I use PDF=XChange and like it very much. It renders large PDF files with images very quickly and is reasonably touch friendly.
