I would if I wouldn't have to pay absurd import fees. No way I'm paying £200 on a hub.

I did the past 12 months just plugging things in and it worked just great. Just a little inconvenient at times is all :) Definitely not what I would consider a must have though (imo, of course)

That's precisely how I felt until I saw that great (stateside) price. It's always challenging when prices drop below my impulse control threshold. :)

well Mon-Fri i connect my SP3 to 2 x 27" monitors, keyboard, mouse, and speakers so the dock in my situation is a must have :)

To me the docking stations are the complete opposite of a 'must have' lol... they're a nicety, sure :) but they don't really provide much extra than just plugging directly into the Surface (plus, I use Bluetooth for everything I can)

it is cheaper at tiger direct...

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Docking Station

I found that sometimes its better buying it at bestbuy after price matching for the rewards. FYI they pricematch online stores now :D

If the SP3 was my main computing device I would want a docking station.

I'm not able to get the free shipping at tiger direct so it would probably be a wash. I don't have Amazon Prime but since the dock is over $35 there's no shipping charge (but you have to be patient).

As I also dock other devices including other Surfaces to the same monitor, keyboard, mouse, HDD, Printer, etc. I use a USB dock, just cant justify a separate dock for one device/per device.

Is there another dock that charges the sp3?
