Not sure what is going on, but my SP3 is now running very hot, and internet connection is very slow - 20 Mbps when my laptop and cell phone are getting 300+ Mbps on the same connection at the same time.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Let’s try to figure out what is going on.

    - Did you recently apply Windows Updates?
    - Have you checked Windows Defender or other security software for infections?
    - Have you recently added any network or cloud backup or storage?
    - What Windows Version are you running? )Settings, System, About)

I thought it was running hot yesterday, but today I indeed did install a Win 10 update (no choice, except timing) and got temperature warning about 30 minutes later.

    Version?

Keep in mind some of the heat and slow speed may be due to OneDrive doing major syncing. For now, Exit OneDrive if you think that may be the case.

If you haven’t already, download the Update Assistant, and run it.

    Version 1903 Build 18362.356 installed 08/31/2019

I don't know why it says installed 08/31/2019 - it just installed an update this morning ...

No syncing on OneDrive - it's up to date.

Searching for Update Assistant on MSoft Store crashed - need to reboot, I guess.
