SP3 to display on iMac 27. Possible?

I want to use the bigger screen on my iMac while at home powered by my SP3 to keep all my documents in one place and organized. I tried minidisplayport to minidisplayport and this doesn't work.

Found out my mid 2011 27" iMac has 2 thunderbolt ports (not mdp).

Any work around to this? Can thunderbolt transfer picture?

Windows 10 not supported with Air Display, Duet display seems to only be for iPad as secondary display, Spacedesk is showing up an error every time I try to install it (5x now) "incompatible hook driver" I've contacted support and am waiting to hear back. Zonescreen is for Windows only.

Video connections on computers (any) are output only. Wish you could use the Surface as monitor sometimes. Your best solution is to purchase a nice size monitor for at home. They are a cheap way to save you vision.
