We have the additional challenge of having multiple devices per vehicle, some of the devices are bound to our vehicles and some that go to/from the vehicles. So leaving a hotspot in the vehicle would not service those devices that temporarily leave the vehicle and come back. And taking the hot spot or cell phone with you abandons the device that is left behind in the vehicle, and still must remain connected. Bottom line- each device needs it own connection. And like the last poster, carrying around extra devices just to support a connection is problematic. These people are firefighters, police and paramedics. They have more important things to think about than "do I have all the gadgets that I need...".

I may just wait for the new Dell XPS 12 to come out in November. Has a 12.5" display, full 4k graphics, gorilla glass and I'm sure BROADBAND, for around $1299.
