I've been running SQL 2012 no probs, only downer was large databases taking up so much space - found the sd a bit slow. Also running fine with all drives 'bitlockered'.

So I went ahead and purchased the SPro 128GB. About SQL Server, since I don't need the full version of SQL, I opt to download and install SQL Server 2012 Express, which is all I needed. Plus it runs Reporting Services and it's all free. I restored a few databases and copied all the reports I have created and they work great on the SPro.
