Have seen a problem with Lastpass causing IE on Win 8+ to crash. The good news is the support from LP was very good. They gave me a patched version that fixed it very quickly. One caveat is I have LP Premium so do not know if that affected the response time and service level.
You can narrow things down by disabling both of the LP add ons in IE and see if the problem goes away. If you cannot reproduce the crash after disabling the extension you have probably found the culprit.
