Surface RT - lcd issues

Hi,

I dropped my surface rt (3 feet) and now the screen is like this:(.
There are no visible cracks on the glass and the touchscreen still working and flat cable is connected property.
A need to buy a new lcd??

I'm not sure (I think others will be able to clarify) but you might be able to send this back to Microsoft for a free replacement if it's under warranty. I certainly saw the option for screen crack issues when I was in the process of sending mine back. Have a look here... http://myservice.surface.com

As for 'buying a new LCD' I wouldn't think you'd have much luck repairing it yourself. Have a look at the 'tear down' on iFixIt... very hard to do things like that unfortunately.

I'm from Brazil. Here there is not microsoft support for surface. The most difficulty step is to gain access to the glass and LCD. LCD and glass are fused together and adhered to the case. But i think i can remove using a heat gun.
