Touchpad vs laptop touchpad

I use the SP3 and I also have a HP Spectre Pro X2 and the touchpad on the HP is many times better then on the SP3. I even bought a Logitech T650 just to have a usable touchpad on the SP3. I know you can do a lot with touch only. But I haven't found a good replacement for Windows Explorer yet I can't get that one setup properly for touch. MS should fix that soon in my opinion.

ungh! same here, but then someone pointed out the 2 finger tap for right click and it's been a lot better, more enjoyable!

Honestly, I like the SP3 pad. I think it works just fine for scrolling. I tend to go 75% touchpad/25% screen gestures when sitting around in the kitchen casual browsing and 100% touchpad when doing series work. I like the positive click over the typecover 2 and I prefer the TypeCover 3 to my HP EliteBook 8 series.
