It seems that there is a lag of some sort with the touchscreen and now it is too the point that it is hard to use. I did the registry fix and changed the values from 8 to 2 in the response of touchscreen HKEY but this did nothing except run down my battery. I keep thinking I have missed something simple about this problem.
