Surface properties like orientation, pinned tiles and so (as well as events such as touch gestures) should be available to programmers. I'm wondering if the Office 2013 VBA language can access these properties and events.

Office 2013 is not a Modern UI application, well not yet. Hence, only these events are supported-

    AddControl Event
    AfterUpdate Event
    BeforeDragOver Event
    BeforeDropOrPaste Event
    BeforeUpdate Event
    Change Event
    Click Event
    DblClick Event
    DropButtonClick Event
    Enter, Exit Events
    Error Event
    KeyDown, KeyUp Events
    KeyPress Event
    Layout Event
    MouseDown, MouseUp Events
    MouseMove Event
    RemoveControl Event
    Scroll Event
    SpinDown, SpinUp Events
    Zoom Event
