Where do you hold the Tablet when you pull it out?

Good way to detach is to have the screen tilted a bit towards the front. In other words, begin closing the Surface Book, and when the screen is tilting slightly over the keyboard, then detach.

... However, before traveling with the keyboard detached, open the hinge all the way before detaching. Better angle for the connectors in your travel bag.

Thanks man, you rock! The corner thing works great btw.
On the day of the hardware event when the journalists were getting hands on with the SB, I read somewhere that the Microsoft folks were showing them the corner thing as the proper (or at least easy) way to remove the clipboard. I guess they would know, huh?

The corner works, but be careful to continue a swift upward motion. Otherwise, the screen rotates in your hand and the opposite lower corner can smack the hinge assembly.

I'm with Wayne. I rest both wrists on the base, grasp the left and right sides of the screen, and lift up the screen. I'm a bit afraid of dropping the screen, so I don't really want to lift it up with just one hand.
