Will SP2 get the Windows 9 ??

I know, but I don't buy operating systems separately, just wait to buy a new computer and get it pre-installed :) I learnt my lesson from buying Windows ME lol, first and last time.

While they are (Samsung) manufactures that block OS changes.
Normally, you just update the BIOS/UEFI if any (not a requirement at all, although in some rare cases, it could solve compatibility issues... but again rare, and usually doesn't hurt to do... I said, usually, and again, not a requirement)
Then you just install Windows. Windows will have the drivers you need built-in as you go up, at worrst, assuming teh manufcature doesn't provide any drivers, you can still install them by running the setup under compatibility mode to by-pass the OS check. It won't work if something at the core of Windows changed, but I doubt Microsoft will do anything drastic that would cause a problem, at worst, get the latest drivers from the manufacture of the hardware directly, in fact it will be probably better to get the latest drivers.
