Microsoft Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 Adapter

Just wish I hadn't bought another of the old (non-4K) Surface HDMI adapter from Amazon a couple weeks ago, if I'd known there was already a new version (which only seems to be available at the Microsoft Store). Already shipped it off to a family member traveling out of the country (along w/ a...

Microsoft Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 Adapter

Is this new at Microsoft Store: Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 Adapter Sorry I've been out of the loop, when did Microsoft replace their previous Microsoft Surface Mini DisplayPort To HDMI Adapter (Amazon link) with a 4K@60 version? I'd previously bought from Amazon: Plugable Club 3D...

When's the next set of Surface firmware updates?

It's interesting that Microsoft seems to have moved towards unbundling each wave of Surface updates? Last month they started decoupling the single monolithic bundle into smaller sub-groups: Then this month they seemed to go further to break out the sub-groups into individual component...

When's the next set of Surface firmware updates?

Thanks guys. The Surface (hardware/firmware) system update history lists 2/17 as the most recent update. I assume that's because the 3/22 update, as mentioned above, is a more general Windows release for all machines (not just Surface)? But bottom line, I probably shouldn't expect more...

When's the next set of Surface firmware updates?

Microsoft Surface Book update history | Surface firmware updates Looks like there hasn't been any SB (or SP4) firmware updates since February 2016 (whereas previously there have been consistent updates every month since October 2015). Will we likely see updates by end of March or early April...

Share to Email Charms missing Cc/Bcc?

I could've sworn that when invoking the right-hand Charms to Share via Email previously, that you were able to use the Cc and Bcc fields in addition to the To field. But now all I see is the To field. Did I just remember this wrong?

Why is Miracast such a drag? - On a Surface Pro at least

FWIW, our SP2's are usually connected to the router on 5GHz, and generally no problem connecting to two Netgear PTV3000 and three Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro (SBWD100A) receivers I'd bought. The problem I am having with the Netgear (even on the latest v2.4.46 firmware), is that the overscan...

What's the best way to connect the SP2 to a TV, wirelessly?

But they also clarified why my SP2's weren't asked for a PIN when pairing:

What's the best way to connect the SP2 to a TV, wirelessly?

FYI Actiontech support gave further replies, but I admit I'm still not 100% clear. While trying to diagnose my added lag (emphasis added): Regarding frequency/channel connection: Perhaps I'm dense, but these kinda seem contradictory?

Surface Pro 3 + ASUS MB168B+ portable monitor = Ultimate Road Warrior Productivity

Interesting product, thanks. So from what I see this GeChic product isn't a (DisplayLink) USB monitor. It's an HDMI monitor, but also uses a USB connection for the 10-point capacitive touch input as well as optional power source (it also has a DC-in port for alternative power supply)...

    Stickerboys

Yeah, unfortunately the skin doesn't cover the edge lines around the perimeter (the edge of the flared out front bezel, and the thin edge towards the back that are separated by the vent holes or make up the edge of the kickstand). Sorry, hard to describe. I don't think any other skins cover...

What's the best way to connect the SP2 to a TV, wirelessly?

Thanks! EDIT: So the previous rumors from March say this Surface Wireless Display Adapter will have dual-band Wi-Fi, for release in August. Rumors also have it that an Xbox One update will turn it into a Miracast receiver as well, hmm...

The wood pic was from here. Went with black leather and black matte antibacterial for my own family's SP2s, here (same thread)

Surface Pro 3 + ASUS MB168B+ portable monitor = Ultimate Road Warrior Productivity

Whoa that looks good. The product page doesn't mention IPS, so does it use a TN panel? Did you buy from Amazon or elsewhere?

SanDisk 128 GB Format for Speed?

Good point. And as a matter of fact, the new revision Samsung Pro (part of Samsung's latest SD lineup from a couple of months ago) has even leapfrogged SanDisk in large capacity microSDXC write speed, at least for now. New Samsung Pro 64GB advertises 90MB/s read, 80MB/s write (!) Lexar 633x...

128 GB SDXC Great Performance on Surface Pro 2 - Spaced Out

Nice, I too got similar results with this 128GB card in my SP2. Agree, I found that the fastest microSDXC cards can have twice the sequential read speed, and five to six times the write speed! Starts to rival USB 3.0 portable HDDs...

128 GB SDXC Great Performance on Surface Pro 2 - Spaced Out

Here's my 256 SP2. I do get benchmark variations from run to run, as well as different results from my family's 256 and 512 SP2 units. For SSD/flash testing, does it make a difference how full/empty the drive is? What about how hot it's been running? ATTO Disk Benchmark
