Which part did you clean? Did you detach tablet and clean the female port on it or the male ones on the keyboard part? And did you lose touch even when using only the tablet?

Even after firmware update of Aug 21, the touch screen and pen are not working on my SB. This is very sad and unfair that my device became faulty right after January updates and Microsoft is not willing to replace my device.

Hi, still no solution! They asked me to pay 800 CAD to be given a refurbished SB which would be another mistake because these kind of errors can be caused to your new refurbished device too. With that money I would buy another laptop which last after some stupid updates.

Have you tried this: 1) press windows key+x and go to device manager. 2) under human interface devices (HID) find Intel(R) Precise Touch Device 3) Right click on it, click on disable 4) now do another right click on it and click on enable
