27" iMac -->SP3-->rMBP?

Have a sp3, love it. But I miss using Final Cut Pro X and it's optimized software with real-time rendering. If I made the switch again it'd only cost me a couple hundred (on the pre-owned market).

I'd hate to go through the hassle changing OS just for a piece of software but Premiere has more of a learning curve I'm too lazy to learn. + I want to test out Logic.

Any insight on comparable programs that are optimized?
