Annoying display video/display issue / external display

Hi all!

I got the Microsoft Mini DP to HDMI adapter today. Connecting the surface to my Philips Brillance 234CL
24" Display worked well at first. Then I switched to reader on the surface while having IE open on the external display. When I try to turn pages in reader the display looks kind of distorted until page is turned. The same issue occurs when I open other apps like MS Word and try to scroll a longer text, it's worse with reader though.
The most distortion occurs when I run in clone display mode and view pdfs in two pages view...

Anyone know if this a known issue and how to fix it?

By the way - the distorsion happens on the Surface's display...

Another thing maybe worth mentioning: Is it Ok that the adapter (it's original MS) doesn't fit very thight? I mean it doesn't pop out or something, but it doesn' seem to sit very tight, too. It's a bit better than the Mini DP - HDMI cable I used before (quite high quality but no angled plug) - but not very, despite being especially designed for the Surface Pro. Hope I didn't cause any hardware damage when I used the adapter cable.. :/
