Any Powerbanks for use with SP3?

The size of these is deceptive, a few show comparison shots and they are over half as long and wide as a Surface and pretty thick. I might hold out for the portable nuclear reactor. :D

Yeah, I've been looking at the dimensions as people post links and the PowerTraveller MiniGorilla is half the thickness and weight of all of these so far.

how big is the surface pro 3 battery and how many times can these power banks recharge the surface?

Also, I've heard that advertised mAh wasn't all that accurate and real life usage was only about 70~80% as advertised.
Has anyone used any of the above products and measured how many times they were able to recharge the surface?

My Anker 20000mAh did charge my Surface RT 5 times. So far I did 2 charges on my SP3, still 75% capacity left

You charged the 31.5Wh battery of the RT 5 times with your (theoretically) 74 Wh Anker battery. So you have to be a wizard or the laws of physics don't apply to you. 2 charges of the 42Wh battery in the Pro 3 with only 25% of the Anker? Even better!

Usually you can use around 80% of the capacity of a very good battery pack for USB charging. With 12V charging it gets worse. My pack has theoretically 55Wh and charges around 35Wh at 12V in the Surface before it shuts off.

Don't know what you mean. This is my experience. When I get a warning at 25% of capacity I do connect my Anker.

In that way I managed to charge my RT 5 times, without charging the Anker in betweeen.
Same way I now have charged my SP3 (i3 version) for the third time. The Anker shows that it has 50% capacity left.

The Pro has a 5500mAh/7,4V battery, which equals 11000mAh of the Anker 3,7V battery. You charged 3 times 75% of the Surface with 50% of the Anker power bank? 3x8000 mAh out of 10000mAh of the Anker? (Assuming 100% efficiency, maybe 70% are reachable). Either is your Surface battery faulty or you found the solution for the energy problems of the whole population.

Nope I have an 20000 version of the Anker

And no, it isn't a faulty sp3, I get over 9 hours, and yess it chatges to 100%

For the record, my Anker is a Diginote version, the way it is sold here in The Netherlands

Sorry, but I believe you should get your SP3 replaced.
The maximum theoretical energy in your Anker battery is 74Wh (check http://www.ianker.com/support-c1-g327.html, bottom of the page, answer to Q14 "Anker's largest external battery is currently the Anker Pro2 20000mAh (74 wh)").
If you charge your SP3 3 times with half Anker, you charge:
74Wh * 50% = 37Wh
37Wh / 3 = 12Wh
So every time you charge your SP3 from 25% to 100% with only 12Wh. This means your SP3 battery can only hold:
12Wh / 75% = 16Wh
A normal SP3 battery should hold 41-42Wh, while yours only 16.
My advice is to have it serviced.

My batteryreport states 43Wh, designcapacity 42Wh
Mine too. And its even more impressive that it keeps increasing day by day.
Here, I copied it from the Battery report generated by powercfg

Yes, my SP3 now has 44 Wh battery!
Try to beat that! lol

Mine is the i3/64 by the way. Im curious to see if the i5 and i7 model had larger battery, since they stated that all models should have similar battery life.
