The patent describes that the screen and keyboard would be wirelessly connected, and the two cannot lose that connection. Cannot walk away with the screen or keyboard base.

Microsoft's Surface Book Clipboard (detached screen) does not need the Base Unit (detached keyboard) to function.

It's just a joke... Not exactly the same idea...but just ironic timing you know. I don't think they'll ever actually produce anything from this. It's just fodder for the attorneys some day.
