Battery deterioration during gaming and charging

I use charging battery during gaming. Is it deteriorating for battery ?

Use the machine as you see fit, and make sure that once a month you let it discharge to below 10%.

Leaving it plugged in during gaming will not hurt the battery.

I have another question - does APU's temperature affects a battery ? As far as i know high temperature generally is not good for batteries. So, how is it solved in Surface Pro 3? Proper placement?
