Firstly, my Surface RT is coming this Sunday, so I have no way to verify.
On my Acer S3 running Windows 8, the Music app can navigate to the external DVD drive, but won't play the contents which is Audio CD (CDFS). The desktop Windows Media Player has no problem playing it. Knowing that Surface RT won't have it, I'd like to confirm with those who has tried this.
