Expression Studio Ultimate comes with screen recording and even though its a trial I believe because it is abandoned it does't expire any loner...

If you're just talking audio, the free Audigy Software Download works fine on my SP1. I don't record live audio, but works fine for wav mp3 ogg, and lots of other filetypes, has decent filtering and waveform controls for loudness and equalization........
