Dock SB with Screen Closed?

Can the SB be docked with the screen closed (external display / keyboard / mouse only?)

I cannot seem to get it to register after closing it, even after hitting the power button with it closed.

Yes. I discovered this by accident: One day I plugged in the docking connector before opening the SB and the external monitor came on immediately. It is a useful feature whenever I use only the external monitor and don't need to move apps across displays.

This thread got me really curious about your setups. Why are you not using the built in monitor while docked?

Its fascinating to me all the different ways people use their laptops, and I want to make the experience better for everyone no matter how they want to use it. I'm an engineer so apologies if my questions seem a bit odd in the survey thing.
