Does Google Chromecast work with the SP2?

Hi,
I just bought the Chromecast thingie. I downloaded the Chromecast app and set it up with my Note 2 phone, worked as advertised, from the phone. Now I'd like to use it with the SP2. I looked for the Chromecast app in Google Play store, using the SP2, and the app is not there. Do I need that app to set up the Chromecast with the SP2? I swiped in from the right on the SP2, in the Charms bar, Devices, there's nothing about Chromecast.
What am I doing wrong?

You need to install Chrome, then get this extension for chrome:

Then you can stream things to your chrome cast using the chrome cast button in the top right of a tab in chrome:

By default this streams the webpage you're viewing. You can stream your entire desktop by clicking that small grey down arrow in the above screenshot and choosing "cast desktop", or if you want to stream specific files (mp4, mov, wmv, etc) from your desktop, in addition to the chrome cast extension linked above, also install this extension:
