How to change search engine in metro

I've changed my search engine in internet explorer on the desktop of my surface pro 3 from bing to Google. I've even deleted bing because I just don't care for it. But, in the metro internet explorer it still uses bing as the search engine. How do I change this?

It uses the same settings as the desktop IE but you may need to restart Metro IE for the changes to take effect. Simply closing Metro IE doesn't actually unload it: you need to either manually close it using Task Manager or restart your SP3.

Your default engine for desktop IE is Google, yet in Metro it's Bing, even after rebooting the browser? That's really not possible... unless you have a browser redirect/hijack. Have you scanned for viruses and malware?

I'm glad you said that. Somewhere I got trovi malware hijacking my search engine on IE. I removed it manually and it's fixed my problem. It didn't show up in windows defender so that has me worried. I'm going to find a better anti virus. Thanks alot though for the help.
