just had to restore sp3, installing 4/19/16 firmware prevents restart.

sp3 64gb i3 win 8.1. Had to fresh install win 8.1 from installation media I created a while back. When windows update updated the firmware to the 4/19/16 firmware it keeps ''your pc failed to start".

Should I just fresh install again and hide that update?

Welcome to the forum

My suspicion is that it got restarted while it was applying some updates or something else was going on. I would try again, couldn't hurt at this point.
