Small wireless keyboard with numeric keypad... #1 bestseller isn't bad among some other choices

An excellent suggestion, but a real shame it requires the sole available USB port on the SP. I always look for Bluetooth solutions when possible for this reason. No, I didn't go searching for Bluetooth KB with dedicated number pad, but it would be worth an Amazon search if losing the USB port is an issue for you.

I do some heavy numeric entry with my SP1 occasionally. I use one of these along with the type cover:

Bluetooth so it doesn't use up the one port. I've tried all those fancy calculator / keypad gadgets but they all have certain keys in non-standard places. Microsoft's is simple and laid-out perfectly. I have no idea why, but these are pretty hard to find nowadays. I was lucky enough to find a really good used one for about 40 bux a while back. works great!!

$60 for the Microsoft version on Ebay. Yes, it's used. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-B...45?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item2c88ba7435

$40 for a Canon brand on Ebay. New according to description. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-5093B...1613978230?pt=Calculators&hash=item3a955c9e76

You may be able to do better. Those were literally the first two results from logging into Ebay and searching on the string "microsoft bluetooth numeric keypad". Good luck

I actually had that canon one before I scored the Microsoft keypad and can tell you first hand that entry is night and day worse on that thing. if you look at the key layout in flyswatter's pics, it's nothing like what you'd be used to on a standard keyboard. if I remember correctly, the canon would miss quite a few keystrokes too. I'd pay 60 bux for the Microsoft one just on the utility alone.

Thanks for having a look. Unfortunately, it will cost me 100$ and that's too much for a number pad. shipping and import chargers are aall together 40$... damn... :(
