metro browser not opening

Hi guys I have just noticed that when I clickon the browser icon, the desktop opens instead.any ideas why this is happening?

From the Internet Control Panel select the Programs Tab and Clear Check Box Below:




Assuming you mean from the Start Screen and not the Task Bar on the Desktop....
