Pens are $49.99
Type Cover 129.99
4GB, 128GB storage 599.99

I'm confused by the Bright Red cover, it appears dark to me and Red one looks Bright.
They may be mislabeled... chat wont initialize so can't confirm.
Holding off ordering one ...

The Power Supply appears to be a unique design possibly with micro USB connector, weird since Surface 3 works with the Dock too, maybe that's an optional thing... TBD.

Nice one for students and other less than wealthy people.

The camera however is looking good, it should give a hint what will appear in the possibly upcoming Surface Pro 4.

Out of the ashes rises the Surface 3. It looks very competitive but the keyboard is a must $129 add-on for the best experience.

Well, for the *best* experience you also need the $50 pen and $200 docking station. But hey, that's the whole point of a tablet. You can expand it to the way you like, whether you need pen-and-paper replacement or laptop-replacement.

This Picture shows the micro USB charging port and the Greyed out area where the Dock would connect. so how will this work in the dock???

this would have been the perfect device for me. I don't use any heavy apps and use it mainly for onenote and internet.

I had an intel atom tablet before (dell venue 11 pro) and it did those tasks very well. I changed because of quality control issues. I currently have an i5 128gb surface which now feels under used...

EDIT:
on second thought... it has a 10.8 screen and lower screen resolution. pen is not included with the purchase... i feel better now! :D
